Richie’s Caribbean Spices Catering Terms and Conditions

Booking and Reservation:

  • Deposit: To secure our catering services for a specific date and time, a non-refundable deposit is required. For bookings made more than 2 weeks in advance, a deposit of 50% of the total estimated cost is due within 14 days of booking. For events scheduled within 2 weeks from the booking date, 70% of the total estimated cost is required within 5 days. Corporate clients may be subject to different deposit percentages as specified in the invoice or email correspondence.
  • Final Payment: For regular customers, the remaining balance is due upon arrival on the day of the event. For corporate clients, final payment terms may differ and will be communicated and agreed upon via invoice or email correspondence.

Cancellations and Refunds:

  • Cancellations made 15 days or more before the event will result in a forfeiture of the deposit.
  • Cancellations made within 5-14 days of the event will require payment of the full contracted amount.

Menu Selection:

  • The client must provide a final menu selection at least 2-4 weeks prior to the event.

Guest Count:

  • The final guaranteed guest count must be confirmed at least 7-14 days before the event. Billing will be based on the guaranteed guest count or the actual number of guests, whichever is greater.

Additional Charges:

  • Any additional services, menu items, or changes requested on the day of the event may incur additional charges.
  • Any damages caused to catering equipment or property by the client or their guests will be charged accordingly.

Venue Access and Facilities:

  • Client Responsibility: The client must ensure that the venue provides adequate facilities, including but not limited to kitchen access, power supply, and sufficient space for catering setup. Any additional costs incurred due to insufficient facilities will be the responsibility of the client.
  • Set-Up and Breakdown: Our catering team requires approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour for both set-up and breakdown. Please ensure uninterrupted access to the venue during these times to facilitate a smooth and efficient service.

Unforeseen Circumstances:

  • The catering company shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond its control, including but not limited to acts of God, government restrictions, natural disasters, or labor disputes.

Client Responsibilities:

  • The client is responsible for obtaining any necessary permits or licenses required for the event.
  • The client is responsible for providing accurate and up-to-date information regarding dietary restrictions and allergies of guests.

Liability:

  • The catering company shall not be liable for any damages, injuries, or losses incurred during the event, except for damages caused by the catering company’s negligence.

Governing Law:

  • These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the United Kingdom.
